Workshops and Seminars

Qualitative Methods Workshop - Co-founder and Co-coordinator UW-Madison

After hearing from colleagues about a desire for more research support in qualitative methods, Sadie Dempsey and I established the qualitative methods workshop in the UW-Madison Sociology department. This graduate student-run workshop meets weekly for research presentations, methods workshops, guest speakers, professionalization workshops, and skills training, in order to equip members with additional tools for conducting and disseminating qualitative research, broadly construed. The workshop is interdisciplinary, with members conducting research in a wide range of social science and humanities disciplines. In the future we aim to expand our group with funding resources and training opportunities for our members.

Guest Lectures and Workshops

I have conducted guest lectures and workshops for various classes and organizations on topics in trade policy, regulation, policymaking, and qualitative methods. Please contact me at wyli@wisc.edu for any requests for speaking engagements or guest teaching.
